Manfare's Kurt Cobain

Rave will be bred this spring to Keen, owned by Stacy Winkler.  I looked long and hard for the right boy to compliment my girlie and I am thrilled that Stacy has agreed to let us use her boy.  Keen is out of Jenny Damm's Elvis and he's a very special boy.  Here's what Stacy has to say about him:

"Keen is a doll. He has a terrific temperament . He loves everyone and is super sweet. Very biddable and super easy to live with. He revs up quick and loves to work but is super solid and definitely has an offswitch. He is good to work like crazy or hang out in the living room. What I meant by solid is that I often have him hanging out when I teach in case I need to demo something and he can have powerful dogs literally running practically on top of him and not bat an eye. He is a beautiful jumper and very powerful with quite a long stride.
His dog skills are quite good. He is fine hanging out with other intact males and if he gives a correction it is always appropriate, never too much. He is a super easy intact male to own and show."

Keen is a bit over 20" tall and weighs 41lbs.  He has lovely structure and is very athletic and powerful.  He's shown good instinct on sheep, had great toy drive and like Rave, loves the water!  Keen is AKC and SKK registered.

Keen has had one litter of pups so far and all four of those pups are turning out to be incredibly smart and athletic.

Here's a link to Keen's pedigree.  It's in Swedish but you can have your browser translate it:

Keen is PennHip 70% and a carrier for CEA.  You can see his xrays (and some pictures!) here:

And of course, some pictures of the handsome boy!!!

Rave Moy

Rave is our foundation bitch.  She came from Alison McIntosh at Moyhall Farm.  She is out of Astra Bridie (Jersey) and TNT's Southern Blend (Cagen).  She's matured into a lovely dog.  Rave is a high energy, high drive girlie with a nice off switch.  She has a ton of potential in agility though I haven't devoted nearly enough time to her training.  She has shown some instinct of sheep as well but there's no time for that either!  Rave is a retrieving fool and could do that for hours.  She loves to train and will work for food or toys.  She's pretty middle of the road, not too soft but not too hard headed, making her a joy to train.  Rave loves the water.  She's a great swimmer, loves the pool, the waves at the beach and killing the hose.

Rave is incredibly athletic, scaling a 42" baby gate with ease.  She is very, very fast and we often call her our gazelle.  She stands 19.25" tall and weighs 35lbs.  Her structure is quite good with nice front and rear angulation.  She has a nice long back and is very flexible.  Rave is super friendly with people and is pretty submissive to new dogs.  Within the pack, she is a middle of the pack female though she can be herdy with the other dogs and has picked our mini Aussie Bliss as her chosen "sheep".  Here's her pedigree:

Rave is OFA Good, Elbows Normal, PennHip 80%, CEA Normal, CERF clear and MDR1 -/-.  She is ABCA, CBCA and AKC registered.  Here's some pictures of our "prettiest princess":
